Professor Benilde Garcia De House, a visiting professor from the Autonomous University of Mexico, gave a seminar on her most recent psycho-educational research in Latin American contexts. This event was sponsored by the Newton Fund and HEFCE and brought to York by the International Development Network. The focus of the seminar was as follows: 1) Emotions and Decision-Making in Students: How do emotions arise in different social situations? 2) A Theory-Driven approach to Design a Learning-Centred Online Environment The seminar was followed by an opportunity for networking, with consideration of building partnerships with Mexican academics.
