Description
One of the challenges in making places that work well for older and disabled people is to ensure that by meeting the needs of one group, another group is not disadvantaged. While it may be easy to agree on some issues – that uneven pavements should be levelled, wet leaves should be cleared – other issues are much more difficult to resolve, and are often about behaviours and attitudes than about the built environment. This workshop will try to address some of these more difficult issues and see how diverse groups of people with different needs can work together to agree solutions and sometimes possibly compromises.
