In line with the vision set out in the Government's White Paper 'Caring for our Future' a new national minimum eligibility threshold for care and support is going to be decided upon. In order to do this Government is gathering together a group of experts in the field to develop and test options for a potential new assessment and eligibility framework. Caroline Glendinning, current Programme leader for the School for Social Care Research at SPRU, has been invited to be a member of the Working Group. It is envisaged that the work will be ongoing for at least three years.
