Digital Creativity in the Social Sciences

Activity: Participating in or organising an eventSeminar/workshop/course

Description

Digital technology combined with games, storytelling, art and other creative approaches are being used to create engaging, interactive and immersive ways of delivering impact from research. In addition to providing an opportunity to disseminate your research to a wider audience, by using the technology to automatically gather data and feedback it is also easier to capture impact as well as engaging people to participate in the research itself. The University and the City of York have recently had several major successes in Digital Creativity, including securing the Digital Creativity Hub - an £18 million world centre of excellence for impact-driven research, focusing on digital games, interactive media and the rich space where they converge and the UNESCO City of Media Arts designation - putting York on the world stage for creative digital exhibits and connecting us to the other than 69 UNESCO cities around the world.
