Description

Exploring the Varieties of Grief: A Reflective Workshop

This workshop explored diverse experiences of “loss”, with the aim of enhancing the practice of charities by drawing on insights gained from research conducted at the University of York.

The workshop was part of the AHRC-funded project "Grief: A Study of Human Emotional Experience" (www.griefyork.com). It was co-organized with the pregnancy loss charity TimeNorfolk and held at the Maid's Head Hotel in Norwich. It involved approximately fifty participants from local charities and other relevant organizations, all of whose work involves engaging with experiences of grief and loss.

There was a registration fee of £20 (£10 student/unwaged) to cover the cost of time given by employees of TimeNorfolk. Researchers' time was given freely.
