**** Opening the second half was the last of Martin Suckling's four Musical Postcards. All I wanted after this Postcard was to hear it again but they have been released one by one, and won't be heard together until October. Again it was a joy to hear Suckling's characteristic rhythm and beauty, all reduced to a powerfully disciplined, skilful and pointed miniature. A uniquely effective way to familiarise an audience with a composer's idiom too – on a drip feed. Rosenna East (The Herald)
