INCiTE: Research Prioritisation Event

Activity: OtherPublic engagement and outreach (general)

Description

NIHR funded systematic review and research prioritisation: INterventions for Complex Traumatic Events (INCiTE). The aim of the day was to share findings with stakeholders and to generate a consensus about future research priorities. Priorities were developed through table discussions in groups, facilitated by academic staff part of the study. Priorities developed among attendees were shared with a broader public audience online (via Twitter, @UoY_INCiTE), and an online poll was run for a week following the event to allow wider participation in prioritising future research.

Outputs from the day are to be reported to the NIHR and hopefully inform the next round of commissioned research on how best to support people affected by complex trauma.

The event ran from 9.30am to 3pm. Staff included: P. Coventry, hosting/speaking/facilitating discussion; J. Jones-Diette, speaking/facilitating discussion; H. Melton, online engagements/polling/facilitating discussion; N. Meader, facilitating discussion; H. Dale, facilitating discussion.
