Invited talk for ~10 Educational Psychologists who together have responsibility for all the schools in the Local Authority area. Discussed neural basis of memory and learning, and problems with unevidenced "neuro"-branded interventions in schools and education. Provided useful summary of evidence based interventions for schools, teachers and educational psychologists. Arranged additional talk from world-leading expert Prof. Alan Baddeley on Working Memory theory and its applications to classroom practice.
