Description
Individual Carer, Personalised Needs Seminar
The aim of this third seminar in the series is to explore the extent to which there is diversity in carers’ needs. It will also address the ways in which the nature of this diversity can best be recognised and addressed through further research and policy interventions in order to improve outcomes for different groups of carers as well as carers in general.
Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of the workshop participants will be able to:
*Compare and contrast the needs of different groups of carers
*Evaluate the effectiveness of existing interventions to meet these needs
*Identify further research that is required in order to develop new interventions and increase the effectiveness of existing interventions in order to improve carers quality of life and those they support
*Further develop their understanding of the theoretical, conceptual and methodological challenges to future research around the needs of carers.
