Public Engagement talk on 'Antibiotic resistance'

Activity: Talk or presentationPublic lecture

Description

The theme for the Pint of Science was 'Our Body'. The evening was organised by my PhD student, Tessa Keenan and two of my postdocs, Jess Loraine and Rob Howlett. The venue was the Fulford Arms in York. Rob kicked off the evening with a talk on 'Virulence factors; a photogenic bacterium's weapon of choice' and then Maggie Smith spoke on 'Antibiotic resistance'. We then had a bit of a discussion about the policy issues around antibiotic resistance. There were lots of questions (fuelled by lots of prizes), but overall a fun evening.
