Professor Spiller attended a Quantum Technologies Export Control webinar for exporters of quantum related equipment, software and technology potentially controlled by the Strategic Export Controls. It applies to academia and industry alike and provided guidance on the licencing requirements from the UK, including exports of technology by intangible (electronic) means. This Webinar provided information on: - The controls and how they can apply to the quantum community. - What is meant by “technology” and how it can be exported - Compliance and enforcement - The types of licences available and how to apply - Q&A session. Adrian Bond from the Export Control Joint Unit at the Department for International Trade led the webinar.
