Quantum Technologies Stakeholder meeting (Event)

Commissioner Günther H. Oettinger organised a stakeholder meeting to discuss industrial exploitation of quantum technologies by European companies. Following a workshop on quantum technologies and industry held in May 2015, the goal of this stakeholder meeting was to prepare the way forward to bridge from excellent research to future commercial exploitation of the research results in Europe in the areas previously identified: quantum communication, quantum sensing and metrology, and quantum computing and simulation. The meeting gathered researchers, SME and industry representatives together with policy makers. Beforehand, Commissioner Günther H. Oettinger met CEOs of Industry for a Roundtable to discuss opportunities for European industry in quantum technologies.
