ReCSS Interdisciplinary Research Group 2016-17: Wellbeing at Work

Activity: Other

Description

Internal priming funding of £500 was awarded by the Research Centre for Social Sciences to establish an interdisciplinary research network on wellbeing at work. The initial network began with academics from the York Management School (TYMS) and from the Social Policy Research Unit (SPRU). Through word of mouth, and by connecting with the Research Champion for Health and Wellbeing, the network gradually expanded to include academics from the Centre for Health Economics, the Mental Health and Addictions Research group (MHRAG), Theatre, Film and TV studies (TFTV), amongst others. Although the funding was only for 6 months, the connections have lasted and members have collaborated on funding applications/research outputs since.
