Description
How can peer-led courses support people to live better with dementia?Knowledge Exchange Event
Friday 15 March, 12-1.30pm, online
People living with dementia often value peer support from others who are going through similar experiences. However, there is limited research on how best to offer peer support services.
The University of York has been working with Innovations in Dementia and partners to evaluate a peer-led course run by and for people newly diagnosed with dementia. We invite people living with dementia and carers, along with people who support them such as commissioners, providers and health and social care professionals to join us at this on-line knowledge exchange.
We will:
• Share findings from the evaluation of the Good Life course
• Discuss how peer-led courses can have the best impact
• Draw on your expertise to inform how we share messages about peer-led courses more widely.
