This community event invited those at risk of sickle cell and thalassaemia disorders to discuss the findings of a recent research report exploring the experience antenatal screening (It is in our genes:https://www.sicklecellsociety.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Its-in-our-genes-final-final-8.43-ampdf.pdf ) Sixty people attended the event in person, with a further 30 online. The conference was organised in partnership with the Sickle Cell Society, UK Thalassaemia Society and NHS England.
