Description
Panel convener and chair of session "Khaki Counterpoints: Music, Identity and War, 1915–1917", with papers by William Brooks, Gayle Sherwood Magee, and Patrick Warfield. Abstract: The onset of the Great War transformed not only the face of Europe but faces--national and individual--in North America. The three papers on this panel each consider new identities--musical and otherwise--that countries, cultures, and persons came to assume after August 1914.Period | 7 Mar 2015 |
