On the 2nd July 2009 the House of Commons Work and Pensions Committee announced that they would be undertaking an inquiry into "Decision making and appeals in the benefits system". Dr Roy Sainsbury has been asked to be a special adviser to the Committee during this inquiry because of the expertise he has in this field.
