Description

From constructions of ‘sexual terrorism’ to ‘sex wars’ and ‘femicide/feminicide’, there is a long history of feminists challenging mainstream and academic
conceptualisations of violence. Concepts such as ‘war’ , ‘peace’ , ‘terrorism’ , and
‘political violence’ are, among other things, gendered knowledge formations. Join us for an interdisciplinary round table discussion as we think through how we, as feminist scholars, mobilise concepts around ‘violence’ and what is at stake in doing so.
