Work, Health and Wellbeing Workshop

Activity: Participating in or organising an eventSeminar/workshop/course

Description

Researchers from The University of Manchester, Durham University and University College London are being funded by Public Health England to set up an UK academic network on ‘work, health and well-being’. Previous research from Public Heath England has identified a number of barriers to interdisciplinary research on work, health and wellbeing, including a lack of interest from funders, short-term policy agendas, methodological and data issues, a lack of communication between users of research and academics, and academics working in silos. This network offers an exciting opportunity to try and overcome some of these barriers via the use of online resources and face to face workshops. The aim is to bring together those who contribute to, and benefit from research in work, health and well-being, in order to share expertise, provide opportunities for collaborations and generate more research in the area.
