Our work on brain injury and disorders of consciousness has been discussed at the Royal College of Physicians Working Party on the Management of Disorders of Consciousness – pre‐publication drafts of two publications were circulated to all committee members, informed discussion, and will be cited in the final report. My co-author on these publications, Jenny Kitzinger, is a member of this committee and was invited expressly to ensure that our work on family experiences was represented to the committee.
