Description

Panel discussion as part of York Festival of Ideas. A panel discussion was held on 12 June as part of this year's Festival of Ideas programme. The aim of the event was to explore how the current healthcare system might be reimagined and rebuilt to be more inclusive and accessible for people with severe mental illnesses (illnesses involving psychosis, including schizophrenia and bipolar disorder). The panel was chaired by Dr Claire Carswell, and the panel included registered mental health nurse Ramsha Hussain, the director of the institute of mental health research at York Professor Lina Gega, a service user representative of PPI group DIAMONDS Voice Gary Hellwell, and Alison Potts, a carer representative of PPI group DIAMONDS Voice
