YorNight 2018

Description

Using a range of interactive demonstrations we explained our research on titanium dioxide nanoparticles and the use of computational modelling to predict properties and improve performance for applications. Participants were able to explore a selection of different nanoparticles in virtual reality and were tasked with finding the correct structure to match an experimental transmission electron microscopy image. The exhibit was attended by over 200 people. This outreach activity was sponsored by EPSRC.
