The UK and Selected Regions Marine Focused Input-Output Tables (UK+SRMFIOT v.1)

The UK and Selected Regions Marine Focused Input-Output Tables (UK+SRMFIOT v.1) comprises 6 novel marine focused input-output tables for the year 2018. 5 of these are made available in this dataset:

1. UK marine focused input output table. 122 sectors, of which 20 marine focused sectors.
2. Northern Ireland marine focused input output table. 77 sectors, of which 15 marine focused sectors.
3. Scotland marine focused input output table. 108 sectors, of which 12 marine focused sectors.
4. East of England marine focused input output table. 120 sectors, of which 19 marine focused sectors.
5.Orkney marine focused input output table. 65 sectors, of which 8 marine focused sectors.

There is also a Wales marine focused input output table comprising 80 sectors, of which there are 17 marine focused sectors. However this is based on the proprietary table prepared by the Welsh Economy Research Unit at Cardiff University. This table cannot be shared without prior permission. If you wish to use the Wales table please contact us.

The tables were constructed as part of the Marine Spatial Planning Addressing Climate Effects (MSPACE) Project , funded through the Sustainable Management of UK Marine Resources (SMMR) programme. Because of the focus of this project, the tables focus on fisheries and aquaculture, but include a selection of other marine focused sectors. The UK, Northern Ireland, East of England, and Orkney table includes a core input-output table and multipliers for Greenhouse Gas Emissions, Labour Compensation, Gross Value Added, and Number of Persons Employed. The Scotland table is only the input-output table.
