Dr, Lecturer in International Management
I am interested in the histories and practices of international development and international management, separately and together. As part of this, I am particularly interested in the role of large philanthropic foundations in organising and managing international development particularly in South Asia.
I was most recently awarded a research grant by the Rockefeller Archives Centre to research the history of management education in India and the institutional imaginaries that shaped it.
My current research interersts have been shaped, in large part, by my education and professional work. Trained in architecture and development management, I have consulted with leading donor and non-governmental organisations on strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, and capacity building. I worked on questions of disability, urban development, social accountability, and decentralised governance.
