Professor Chambers is Director of the Institute for Effective Education at the University of York and professor of education at the Centre for Research and Reform at Johns Hopkins University. She develops and evaluates effective practices in early childhood and literacy education and promotes the use of evidence-based practices. She has authored or co-authored numerous articles, books, and practical guides for teachers, including Classroom Connections: Understanding and Using Cooperative Learning and Let’s Cooperate.
