Biography

Dan trained as a Biochemist, specialising in immunology and molecular cell biology. He began work with the Epidemiology & Cancer Statistics Group as a laboratory scientist in 2005, later shifting focus to data management and analysis in 2007 within the Haematological Malignancy Research Network (HMRN).  Dan specializes in the processing and analysis of biological data, particularly the effects of genomic, cytogenetic and epigenetic aberration, and their effects on cancer development and prognosis.  As well as his analytical work, Dan liaises with external collaborators and is responsible for pooling and curating the extensive datasets collected throughout the course of HMRN’s operation.
