Biography

Professor David Yoon holds the Chair in Global Business and Development, with a specialization in international business and entrepreneurship. His research focuses on how institutions and national culture shape the behavior of firms and entrepreneurs, with a particular emphasis on technological innovation and sustainable development. His work addresses critical issues such as aging, climate change, and social mobility.

David’s research has been published or is forthcoming in leading journals like the Journal of Business Venturing (FT50), Research Policy (FT50), Journal of Business Research, International Business Review, and British Journal of Management. He has received multiple accolades, including the Palgrave Macmillan Prize for Best Conference Paper at the 2024 Academy of International Business, and was a finalist for both the International Business Review Best Paper Award in 2021 and the Academy of International Business Best Paper Award in 2022. His research has also been funded by prestigious organizations, such as the British Academy, Leverhulme Trust, and the Inter-American Development Bank.

David is actively engaged in the global scholarly community, currently serving as a committee officer for the Academy of International Business' Sustainability Shared Interest Group.
