Biography

Faraz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Sciences, University of York, UK. His research centres on global health, with a special focus on tobacco control and the prevention and management of multiple long-term conditions (MLTCs). Faraz is part of several NIHR and EU funded Global Health programs such as ASTRADiaDeMFRESHAIR4LIFE, and SCIMITAR-SA, which engage communities across the global South. His work draws on a range of designs that include observational studies, clinical trials, qualitative and mixed-methods research. 

Faraz is the module lead for the epidemiology module in the MPH program. He is also actively involved in a number of academic citizenship roles, and in the supervision of MPH and PhD students in the Department.
