Research interests
Jo is a health services researcher with interests in improving the experience of illness through supporting decision-making, self-management and equitable provision of appropriate and effective healthcare. Jo uses qualitative and mixed methods research and evidence synthesis to increase understanding of healthcare need and provision, and to develop and evaluate appropriate solutions to improve health outcomes and services.
Jo’s research interests include paediatric palliative care; workforce wellbeing; physical and mental health multi-morbidity; patient decision-making and self-management; health behaviour change; and digital health technologies.
