Biography

I achieved a First in the four year Master of Physics (MPhys) course at Oxford and stayed on to carry out research for my DPhil, initially in the field of Terahertz Spectroscopy. After eighteen months I changed direction and started a new DPhil in Biophysics, submitting my thesis entitled 'DNA Origami Assembly' a little under three years later. I came to York in 2014 as a Research Associate to work on surface-immobilised DNA molecular machines for bio-inspired computing.

Areas of Expertise:

  • Biophysics
  • DNA Nanotechnology
  • Molecular Machines
  • Atomic Force Microscopy
  • Solid State Physics
  • Terahertz Spectroscopy
