Biography

Lauren is a research associate in the Epidemiology and Cancer Statistics Group, joining in 2021 after seven years at The Institute of Cancer Research in London, where she studied the aetiology of breast cancer using data from the UK Generations Study and the Premenopausal Breast Cancer Collaborative Group, a consortium of international breast cancer cohorts. From 2012-2014 she worked as a research assistant for Public Health England in Newcastle, investigating the effectiveness of the pneumococcal vaccination programs. Prior to that, she received her BSc in Mathematics from The University of York and MSc in Statistical Epidemiology from The University of Leeds.
 
Lauren's research focuses on the epidemiology of haematological malignancies, utilising data from the Haematological Malignancy Research Network (HMRN).
