Biography

Research Fellow employed by the Centre for Global Health Histories (CGHH), which is housed within the Department of History.

PhD in Social Sciences (Social and Cultural Anthropology) awarded by the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Lisbon, Portugal, and dealing with a study of malaria in Portugal during the first half of the twentieth century. Has previously worked on a research projects dealing with medical and public health policies in Goa during Portuguese colonial rule and has done research on medical anthropology and the anthropology of health-based studies focusing on vaccination. Is interested in interdisciplinary and transnational approaches to studying the history of medicine and health policy.
