Mousumi is working mainly within health technology assessment contributing to health economic and quantitative synthesis components of CRD projects commissioned under the NIHR Technology Assessment Reviews (TAR) programme for National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and other commissioners.
Prior to joining CRD, she worked as a research associate at School of Social and Community Medicine, University of Bristol. She contributed to evaluate benefits of symptom-based approaches to early cancer diagnosis; and she is also contributing to HTA funded project on monitoring heart failure in primary and secondary care. Mousumi also worked as a research fellow in the Sarcoma Optimum Follow-up Investigation (SOFI) study at University of Birmingham. She contributed to evaluate different aspects of follow-up after treatment of Soft Tissue Sarcoma. Mousumi also worked as a technical analyst at NICE and contributed to the clinical guidelines review.
She has interest in evidence synthesis; Bayesian statistics; health economic evaluation and modelling investigative pathways; survival analysis and prognostic modelling; and discrete choice experiment (Best-worse scaling methods).
