Personal profile

Research interests

I'm fascinated by issues of how our human pro-social motivations evolved, and the complex relationship between vulnerability and care in the distant past. I've worked for over a decade on the broader area of diversity within human origins, from neurodiversity (with a particular interest in autism) to disability, illness and injury. I'm interested in developing new approaches to sociality in human origins, which integrate both diversity and different evolutionary pathways.
