PhD projects

Operations management and sustainability feature strongly in my work.
There are opportunities for research in:
1. developing and applying modelling and simulation techniques to better understand service and manufacturing systems
2. creating/capturing methods and practices to understand how they improve performance
Current doctoral students are working in the areas of eco-efficiency modelling, sustainable manufacturing practices, diffusion of sustainability into the supplier base, developing archetypes for reverse logistics, characterising the application of lean in service systems (maintenance, repair and overhaul)
