Biography

Phil works on conservation science projects, mainly in Africa. He has published widely on species distributions, climate change ecology, ecosystem services and protected area effectiveness. He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, a member of the IUCN Species Survival Commission's Climate Change Specialist Group, and he co-leads the Global LAI (Leaf Area Index) Project.
