Shilpi is a research fellow (health economist) at Mental Health and Addiction Research Group (MHARG) at the Department of Health Sciences. Prior to this, she was working as a senior analyst (health economics) at Novartis healthcare and at a US-based consultancy for over two and a half years in India. During this time, she worked majorly on development, country-specific analyses and validation of health economic models (cost-effectiveness and budget impact models), and evidence syntheses in various disease areas.
On the academic front, she completed her bachelor’s degree in Economics from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), University of Delhi in 2013 and master’s degree in Economics (with specialization in International Trade) from Jawaharlal Nehru University in 2015 from India. She had also worked as a student intern in a non-profit organization in an Indian rural setting in the field of community development.
