Energy transitions, human dimensions of low carbon futures.
Profile and expertise: I am an experienced and enthusiastic driver of low carbon energy systems and climate innovation, with an internationally recognised energy innovation research portfolio and strong links to business and industry. I have helped discover and scale energy innovators in the UK and global south. My research work on energy innovation in electricity markets is recognised worldwide and used in the IPCC sixth assessment report. I am the founder allyfutures.co.uk a consultancy platform bringing Human Centred Design to the energy
transition. I have 15 years’ experience in sustainability spanning civil society, academia and the public sector. My work on energy retail markets and system regulation has been used in over 100 policy publications across 14 countries. I use energy scenarios, human centred design,
strategic foresight and business model innovation to deliver actionable insights on low carbon transitions.
