Research interests

Zecharias primary research focus lies in the application of Econometric and Microeconometric methods to evaluate health sector payment and financing reforms, quality improvement incentives, insurance arrangements, or other health sector policy reforms both in terms of their intended and uninteded consequences. Zecharias also has a keen interest in analysing inequality in health and healthcare, striving for more equitable outcomes.

Biography

Zecharias earned a BA in Economics from Debre Berhan University, Ethiopia, July 2015 and obtained a master's degree in Applied Economics from the University of Verona, Italy, in September 2019. He obtained a PhD degree in Economics from the University of Padua, Italy, in May 2023.
