CFH1 Partnership - Addressing mental & physical health comorbidity in Low and Middle Income Countries in South Asia: establishing the York Mental and Physical Comorbidity Global Health Research Group

The rising global burden of chronic physical conditions coexisting with mental illness falls predominantly on people in developing countries. Responding to this complex challenge requires strong international research partnerships and interdisciplinary collaborations investing in shared enquiry. Through a series of workshops, a research summit, and scoping of need and resources, this project will establish a consortium of stakeholders from the UK and South Asia, that is well-placed to secure research grants to develop and evaluate culture and context-appropriate interventions for mental-physical comorbidity.
