Description

The China in the Early 1950s Network was established with funding from the British Inter-University China Centre, which in turn is funded by the AHRC. Based in York and linked with East China Normal University in Shanghai, the Network is designed to facilitate interaction between scholars of the Chinese 1950s. The Network funded a panel at the 2012 British Association of Chinese Studies annual conference and is currently organising an international workshop 'New Perspectives on the Chinese 1950s' to be held in York in July 2013.
