Project to develop strand of research and activity on 'Commemoration' within IPUP (Institute for the Public Understanding of the Past).

Key findings

Principal outcome of project was ' WW1 commemorated' research by Geoff Cubitt and Jessica Moody (now Univ.of Portsmouth), analysing attitudes of museum visitors in York and Scarborough to First World War commemoration. This research is still ongoing (Dec 2015): see indicated activities for interim presentations of findings.
