Funding a series of activities to lead to the development of a Death Studies Network at the University of York.
Key findings
Outcomes included:
* successful collaboration on a peer-reviewed journal article
* a funding bid to the Wellcome Trust to support development of a network around the theme 'Death at Home'; the bid was not successful
* holding three events around a general 'Death and Culture' heading, including a large international three-day conference
* the initiation and strengthening of associating the University of York with the general subject 'Death and Culture'
