Project Details
Description
The project aims to translate a psychological test for autism into British Sign Language (BSL), the first or preferred language of Britain's Deaf community. A central part of the project involves translation from English to BSL, then back from BSL to English by a separate team. The original English is compared with the back translation, and the BSL version is adjusted until the two translations match satisfactorily. My role on the project is as a linguistic consultant, giving advice on issues relating to the linguistic structures of English and BSL.
