ECM Il Cor Tristo recording

Il Cor Tristo is a work for four voices setting lengthy text from Dante's Inferno (cantos xxxii/xxxiii). The work was composed for the Hilliard ensemble who gave live performances in many venues across Europe between 2008 and 2012. ECM records approached me to work with the Hilliard Ensemble ona definitve recording of the work, and invited me to supervise sessions in St Gerold Austria in November 2012. The three day project resulted in a perfect rendition of the work in which the text is delivered with total clarity (not always possible in live performance). The end product was a CD (entitled Il Cor Tristo) in which the three sections of my work are interleaved with Renaissance vocal music setting texts by Petrarch. The CD was released in November 2013 and has been distributed across the world. There are many excellent reviews (UK, France, Germany, USA).
