Project Details

Description

Gothic Women is an ongoing, collaborative project with a central focus on women's Gothic writing during the Romantic period, particularly those who have been neglected by history and academic study. We are also interested in the afterlives and ongoing influence of their work, aiming to celebrate women’s Gothic through the centuries.

The project is co-organised by Dr Daniel Cook (Dundee), Dr Laura Kirkley (Newcastle), Dr Anna Mercer (Cardiff), and Dr Deborah Russell (York). Our Events Fellow, funded by the British Association for Romantic Studies, is Dr Lauren Nixon (Nottingham Trent).
