Description
Leading to a Research Monograph to be published by the Office for Health Economics
Layman's description
There is a considerable debate about the privatisation of the NHS. This research project looks at the economics of ownership as it applies health care organisations and considers what are the potential risks and benefits of involving privately owned health care providers.
Key findings
Many of the perceived risks of privatisation can be addressed by ensuring that there are appropriate purchasing arrangements in place for health care.
