Key findings
This study concluded that the interdisciplinary study of the biological action of plasma jets is something in which we should develop capability at York. This project, which at the time was one of very few collaborations between Physics & Biology Departments, was an important element in the award of the WT CIDCATS PhD DTC and the EPSRC Institute for Plasma Science, Technology and Fusion Energy (which included an entire low temperature plasma group with a strong focus in this area).
