Layman's description

This project pulls together York’s strengths and external links on illicit flows, policing and development in Africa. The policing of illicit flows (drugs, migrants, money) and their impact on development in West Africa have been of great concern in policy circles. However, existing research has remained fragmented along disciplinary and national lines. The project brings together researchers at York and universities in Europe and West Africa, as well as policy-makers. RPF funds will be used to scope the research field and bring experts together at a workshop, with the aim of preparing a major external funding bid.
