Description
Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) are more likely to be invovled in sibling bullying at the age of 11 years and this is associated with psychosocial adversities. In the current study, we are investigating how sibling bullying involvement changes from age 11 years to age 14 years in adolescents with and without ASD. For the first time, we are also investigating the longitudinal psychosocial outcomes of sibling bullying in adolescents with and without ASD. That is, does being involved in sibling bullying at age 11 affect psychosocial outcomes at the age of 14. Finally, which early-life parenting behaviours, if any, predict sibling bullying involvement and are they different for children with and without ASD.
